Stratans

Strauss-Kahn Academy is filled with exceptional students, despite their different backgrounds. Founded in 1868 as a center of excellence, Strauss-Kahn Academy has gone from strength to strength, setting a new standard in educational innovation. Outstanding academic results open competitive life pathways for the students. Armand Strauss-Kahn, its founder, forged the path of educating young minds into exceptional pillars of society. All students are encouraged to discover their passion and purpose, developing character, and skills. His mission is building a strong, inclusive, intellectual community bound by compassion, honor, and service to others. Despite his noble vision, the students of today’s Strauss-Kahn Academy are separated into two types:

Legacy

Legacy students at Strauss-Kahn Academy are the custodians of tradition, their enrollment tied to generations of family history. Their names are etched into the institution's fabric, their presence a reminder of the academy's storied past. They stride through the halls with an innate confidence, carrying the weight of expectation as both privilege and burden. For them, the academy is not merely a place of learning—it’s a stage where they are expected to uphold the honor of their lineage. While the school holds itself to a high standard, the same is to be said of their parents. The pressure is hard enough to make or break, though most could rise to the occasion. Arachne Strauss-Kahn, the current headmistress, is no exception, being a legacy student, who made a name for herself.

While their lineage opens doors, it also places them under the magnifying glass, with every achievement scrutinized as either earned or inherited. They navigate a world of social politics, unspoken rivalries, and high stakes, aware that their success or failure reflects not only on themselves but on the legacy they represent. Will betrayal marry the legacy meant to be upheld?

Scholarship

Thanks to the generous support of our community, the SKA Fund Scholarship allows us to provide a world-class education to our students regardless of financial means.

Strauss-Kahn Academy scholarship is open to students who are in or have relocated from outside of Switzerland, for their exceptional academic or nonacademic achievement. Each year, the best of the best students become a part of the Stratans. Students can receive a scholarship covering full tuition and dormitory if eligible.

The scholarship students of Strauss-Kahn Academy are a testament to the institution's commitment to recognizing potential, no matter its origins. They arrive as outsiders, often with a fire fueled by ambition and a desire to prove their worth. Their place at the academy is hard-won, earned through talent, intelligence, or extraordinary effort.

For them, the academy is both an opportunity and a challenge—a place where they must carve their path amid a culture steeped in tradition and privilege. They bring fresh perspectives, fierce determination, and a work ethic that often sets them apart. Yet, they are no strangers to the unspoken divide between themselves and the legacy students, feeling the subtle tension of worlds colliding.

Despite the challenges, scholarship students embody the spirit of resilience, forging a legacy of their own and reminding the academy of its mission to embrace both tradition and innovation. Will their attempt to become pioneers crush them under peer pressure and the insistence of traditions?
